"also known as Poppy Day"

Hello to you all...

I am absolutely fascinated by the incredible artwork created to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the start of World War I.

Ceramic poppies by the millions flowing around the Tower of London called "The blood swept lands and seas of red"

I remember as a child, wearing the remembrance poppies for two weeks before the 11th of November.  You are supposed to wear them on your left lapel or as close to your heart as possible.

To commemorate animal victims of war, Animal Aid in Britain issued a purple poppy, which can be worn alongside the red one, as a reminder that both humans and animals have been and continue to be victims of war.

But my favourite is the white poppy.

This week we are having a give away rather than specials.. (although there are some good deals under special offers on the site)
